Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham

The creation of a memorable brand prototype.

As Wyndham Hotels and Resorts prioritized the expansion of their Hawthorn Suites brand, they required a comfortable, yet memorable, design that would be competitive and recognizable within the fast-growing extended-stay market. 

To accommodate the business travelers, senior travelers, and families who frequented Hawthorn Suite properties for weeks at a time, it was essential to consider daily comforts and to create an ambience of welcome familiarity. As such, the Interior Design concept centered around the brand’s “Stay As You Are” identity, incorporating modern amenities with classic touches to provide a home-away-from-home experience. 

Each suite features custom designed furnishings, a trademark headboard, and a space-maximizing kitchen. The neutral color palette, soft textures, and wooden accents exude homeliness, while the contemporary finishes, abstract artworks, and use of Hawthorn’s signature red adds contrast and inspired individuality. 

Accessible and practical, yet fresh and stylish, the Hawthorn rebrand offers a sense of connection for new and loyal guests alike, and has since become the brand’s quintessential prototype.
